This is one of my favorite personal help blogs in the world. Danielle is incredibly bright and inventive. From her step-by-step recipes to her holiday gift ideas, you don’t want to miss anything this dutiful diy-er posts. This hippie-go-lucky pseudo-vegan has it out for store bought goods and often explains how to make things such as toothpaste and shampoo at home. She’s a funny frugal fruit fanatic who will keep you in stitches as you prepare her terrific treats.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

My grandmother showed me how to play the accordion about two hours ago. I’m pretty much ready to go on tour with Beyoncé. So basically, I’m already Bey’s understudy.

Which vamp, wolf, or just plain ol’ Wahingtonian do you think it might be? My guess is that it’s Taylor Lautner. But perhaps it’s Ashley Greene or Jackson Rathbone. Eh, I’m sticking with the most obvious choice. You don’t get caught making out with your “friend” in the Dollhouse Club and stay in the closet too much longer.

I had to save her. Several times. She was almost a lost cause.

Food run last night:

Me: Oh my God! I don’t have me phone!

JGar: I left mine, too!

Erin: Me, too.

Me: Wow. This is weird. What are we going to do?

Erin: It’ll be ok. They used to do things like this back in the 70s all the time.

I have found my next adventure. I will be leaving the continent for the first time and heading somewhere special. My eyes and heart are set on Hawai’i right now. The conduit for my travel? World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF).

The way this deal works is I will travel to [insert destination] and work on an organic farm of sorts for room and board. That’s right. I do handiwork around the homestead, and, in return, I am provided with meals and a place to stay in the beautiful place of my choosing!

Since this is just my first WWOOFing experience, I plan on going somewhere somewhat local - maybe Hawai’i. My intention is to gain experience and credibility working on relatively local organic farms. After I have stretched my green wings a bit and have the WWOOF resume to back my local work, I would have the chance to WWOOF in places like New Zealand, Australia, Poland, The UK… The possibilities are limitless.

The greatest thing is that all conditions are set by me and the host farmstead, meaning that it can be as short or long as I need it to be. I’ll be able to come back to the states to work or leave when jobs are slim. It’s so perfect, and I can’t wait to get started!
